Story
"The daughter of a decently well off family in Waterdeep, Chthonic had an interest in the arcane since she was a young girl. oftentimes she would be seen up in the treetops, watching the wizards of the nearby Eltorchul academy as they studied. Her parents, taking notice of her blossoming interest and skill for the arcane arts, set out to secure the money necessary to pay for her tuition into the prestigious school. It took many years of blood sweat and tears, but eventually Chthonic was given the opportunity to attend her dream school. In her final year at the academy, she was informed of a swamp known as the Dead Man's Mere, which was known for it's natural necromantic magics, as well as an opportunity to spend the year researching the area as extra credit. as her major focus of study was on necromancy, she jumped on the opportunity to do some in field research for the first time. She spent many months documenting the behavior of the undead that roamed the mere from afar. In her isolation and boredom, she summoned a fae spirit that took the form of a fuzzy little spider.It was only once the black and purple portals began to disrupt the mere that she was forced to conclude her research and move back home to Waterdeep. Nowadays, she spends her time doing odd jobs here and there to keep money in her pocket. One such job had her traveling to the town of Phandolin, a small town of tradespeople nestled in the ruins of an ancient city. Alongside her was Flint, a somewhat timid dwarf traveling with his more boisterous friend Ufff. as well as Deekon, an amnesiac Tortle man with a connection to the undead, and a disgraced thief named Zefs." |

Choose one of Strixhaven’s colleges: Lorehold, Prismari, Quandrix, Silverquill, or Witherbloom. Class Features Arcane Recovery You have learned to regain some of your magical energy by studying your spellbook. Once per day when you finish a short rest, you can choose expended spell slots to recover. The spell slots can have a combined level that is equal to or less than half your wizard level (rounded up), and none of the slots can be 6th level or higher. For example, if you’re a 4th-level wizard, you can recover up to two levels worth of spell slots. You can recover either a 2nd-level spell slot or two 1st-level spell slots. Necromancy Adept Beginning when you select this school at 2nd level, the gold and time you must spend to copy a Necromancy spell into your spellbook is halved Grim Harvest At 2nd level, you gain the ability to reap life energy from creatures you kill with your spells. Once per turn when you kill one or more creatures with a spell of 1st level or higher, you regain hit points equal to twice the spell's level, or three times its level if the spell belongs to the School of Necromancy. You don't gain this benefit for killing constructs or undead.
