Despereaux

((Clan Role: Librarian/ Keeper of Fantasy))

Despereaux is another son of Benne, and brothers with both Cryss and Liam. He's also a bit of a dork. Though proper and polite, he is also a little bit of a nerd, reveling in literature and especially fantasy. He's a little weird, often getting lost in between tales of knights and wizards. Though of course he lives in a kingdom with princes and princesses, a king and queen, witches and sorcerers, knights and demons, he's much more comfortable reading stories and pretending. Which is probably why he is still in the library...

Despereaux loves to read, and he finds being called a bookworm is a compliment. When his snout isn't buried in a novel or fascinating record or scroll of some sort, he's busy working for Honeydew and Oyster. He's a natural at connecting with hatchlings, playing pretend games and telling stories in tandem with Bell. Though Despereaux feels a bit overwhelmed when it comes to his family, namely his father Benne, who tries to get him into the kingdom's council-work. But Despereaux won't even consider it. He'd rather read and write and help the library grow, having dreams of one day writing a novel or two. His mother, Cordelia encourages his ambition, though she thinks he's going to be a scientist, because he reads so much.

Sadly, Despereaux is labeled a target of Sidd's wrath, much like the rest of his brothers and his own father of course has everything to do with it. Though he stays far away from the entire Sanguistear family, he can't help but feel sorry for them, comparing their relationships with their own fathers respectively. Still, Despereaux is a good organizer and boasts an excellent imagination. Unfortunately, he tends to shy away from a lot of other dragons, and he gets very nervous when he's alone, opting to talk to himself rather than remain silent. When he's frightened, intimidated or bashful, he simply cannot shut himself up, and will babble on and on about something, until he turns blue....and he's green, so he's already pretty close.
