Use as the progen for a new lineage
Mistaken Identity (possibly a different name? Impersonate? False identity? )
Because I mistakenly thought he was a member of the Will O Wisp lineage!
In-lore he was welcomed to the lair and treated very well because they thought he was a member of a distinguished lineage. He didn't realize this at first, but once he caught on, he had to keep the ruse going! So, now he tracks all his 'wisp' descendents.
Eventually gets really invested in the bloodline itself? And thus is actually proud of his lineage for all the cool things they accomplish?
Maybe find an actual wisp mate for him at some point, who plays along with her husband carrying the line, rather than her, so she can get away with few responsibilities.
