Lab Journal, July 3, Year 1:
"Very large. Thick fur for cold protection and padded feet with long claws to traverse ice- and snow-covered surfaces. Large branched horns and bright coloration could be a trait of reproductive selection; however, both are hardly a handicap for a dragon of this size".
Personal notes:
"It's a good thing I've already started to rearrange the lair... Although have not expected to demolish this many walls. Oh well! She is a beauty, and perhaps big enough that I do NOT qualify as potential prey. Her coloration reminds me of an illustrated manuscript I've read years ago, about some younglings trapped in their lair and encountering many otherwordly beings; specifically, a ruling caste of the latter, dressed in similar colors and just as hairy and mighty! "

"Introduced a bird companion. Well, it escaped the containment and went right towards the Gaoler. Surprisingly, by the time I'd noticed, the bird was completely fine and the dragon rather content. Will observe further developments. "
