Biography

___Parastus is one of the very few dragons you will find in the underground cave system below the clubhouse - he is responsible for the many tunnels located there. The tunnels are infested with countless of Parasitic Fungi: a type of lizard known for their mind-controlling spores. ___When questioned about these lizards, Parastus says he considers them family. The other Bogsneaks usually let him do his thing, and don't bother him too much. Parastus seems to like it that way. |

___An entire frickin' cave system. You know Bogsneaks are fond of dark and damp places, but you didn't expect this. Apparently, the clubhouse continues underground. You hear some loose rocks shift, worrying you slightly- is this tunnel gonna collapse on you? Before you have time to turn around, the entire tunnel starts shaking heavily and you hear the sound of lots of rocks being moved.. and lots of sniffing. A moderately sized Bogsneak peaks out from the wall next to you, having just dug a hole through it. He seems even more startled than you are. "SNIFF!! SNUFF!! A VISITOR?!" He recoils slightly, and a couple of Parasitic Fungi show up around him, curious to meet the newcomer. The Bogsneak is obviously scared of you, so you're not sure how to react. You try to appear friendly while you take in his appearance. He seems to be wearing gear for digging, including a small miner's lamp. Did he dig all these tunnels? One of the bigger Parasitic Fungi props itself up on a small boulder near you, and let's out a small hiss. You take a step back. It kind of seems like they're trying to protect the digger dragon. Now that you think about it, he looks very similar to them. Tan colored and adorned with softly glowing mushrooms. In the meantime, the dragon seems to have composed himself. He visibly gathers all his courage, before sighing deeply. "PA...PARASTUS IS ME! H-HELLO!" He manages to say, while nervously shifting his eyes between all the Parasitic Fungi surrounding you. The large one on top of the boulder closes his eyes, and nods reassuringly. Parastus sighs in relief. ___But his relief doesn't last long. He locks eyes with you again, starts sniffing uncontrollably, and backs up even further in his freshly dug tunnel. "UHM. BYE!" He shrieks, before turning around quickly and slithering away. The walls around you rumble a bit, and then come to a still. You look at the lizard-like creatures you're still surrounded by. They stare back at you. Until the big one let's out another small hiss - and then they all retreat into the tunnel Parastus disappeared into, moving in one big wave as if they share a brain. Maybe it's time to leave the cave. |
STORY

"Wow. This is really impressive." Resham let's out a soft whistle as he looks around the newly discovered chamber. Parastus is standing in the corner, and shyly scratches the back of his head. "I was just doing the dig dig dig... and... well.. then it was shiny." He turns his head to a small group of Parasitic Fungi who all nod solemnly, as if to support his statement. ___The chamber shows a stark contrast with the tunnel connecting to it. The entire space is covered in purple crystals that are softly glittering and reflecting light from the lamps Resham and Parastus brought with them. It's a stunning sight. Resham climbs around the room, prodding and pulling on the crystals as he goes. "I wonder if we can do something with this? It's really pretty. I bet the others would like to see it, too." Resham turns to Parastus to see why he's not answering, and notices him pursing his lips and looking at the ground. "Ah, don't worry about it, Par," Resham says smiling, "you don't have to be here for it." Parastus' eyes shoot back up. "Oh! Okay." He says relieved. Resham turns back to climb deeper into the room - carefully stepping over the skittering lizards- when a certain someone clears his throat. Resham turns to Parastus, who he just catches fleeing the scene. Confused, he takes a few steps back. "Par? Where are you going?" "I might have startled him." In another corner of the chamber, a dragon has appeared. Amidst all the amethyst crystals stands a Bogsneak, covered in purple and pink crystals. He looks as if he just stepped out of the wall, completely matching his surroundings. "Whoa, hello!" Resham exclaims in surprise. "Where did you come from?" The cave Bogsneak laughs and gestures at his body. "Isn't it obvious? This is my home. The real question is, where did YOU come from, together with that friend of yours?" He tilts his head to one side, examining Resham carefully. "You.. uh.. you kinda look like me?" he asks quizzically. Resham studies the other Bogsneak before answering. "Well, yeah.. What did you expect me to look like?" He squints. "And why are you glowing pink?" The cave Bogsneak ignores Resham's question, and continues his own inquiring. "Where are your crystals? And what's that thing around your neck?" He points to Resham's scarf. "Can I touch it?" ___Resham thinks deeply for a moment before taking a step forward. "Mister, uh... what can I call you? What's your name?" The other Bogsneak tilts his head again, this time to the other side. "Mister? Name? What's a mister?" Resham's eyes light up, as if he suddenly made a connection in his mind. "Sir," he starts, earning another confused look from the other dragon, "Are you a Bogsneak?" The other Bogsneak squints at him. "Obviously I'm a Bogsneak. I just didn't realize I wasn't the only Bogsneak." "Ah," Resham replies. He slowly moves towards the other dragon, and takes off his scarf. "Yes, you may touch it." He hands the scarf to the other Bogsneak, who is perplexed by the silk material, when Parastus steps back into the chamber. "AAAAIIIEIEEE HE'S STILL HERE. RESHAM. RESHAM. Resham. Resham?" Parastus' voice trails off when he sees Resham is not in grave danger after all. "Reshamwhatishappening." He squeaks. Resham manages to take his eyes off the cave Bogsneak and turns to Parastus. "Par, I'm afraid you're gonna need to get Reena for me." |
TRIVIA
- Parastus changed his name into what it is now because he wanted to 'feel more close to the lizards'.
- While pretty much everyone knows about him, Parastus has not actually met many of the Bogs in the club - which is just the way he likes it.
- Parastus' diet consists of mushrooms, and the occasional rock.
- Parastus was a very lucky find on the AH because of his colors (including his eyes) matching the skin Cinspawn wanted to use!
