Biography
Over roots and rocks, the young Mirror crept, searching for a place to call home, hatching into this world all alone. While not common, it did happen. She could only wonder what had became of her parents, her nestmates, her clan.
A twig snapping close-by jerked her from her thoughts. It seemed she was being followed. She made her way through a patch of brambles before quickly turning to face her pursuer.
"Hallo, miss. I mean no harm," came a deep and rumbly voice.
The Mirror hissed, arching her back and flaring her wings instinctively to make herself look larger. Though, when her eyes landed on the Guardian who stepped out to meet her, she dropped the act. He was easily three times her size! Changing tactics, she dipped her head in greeting.
"Forgive my rudenessss... I knew not what beast might be following me... I am called Therista."
The golden Guardian chuckled warmly at her formality.
"Nothing to forgive," he waved a claw dismissively. "You may call me Goldern. Do you live around here?"
Therista glanced around.
"Actually... I've been traveling to find somewhere to settle down. I hatched alone, with no nest in sight."
Goldern nodded.
"I understand. I, too, am searching for a place to rest my wings. Perhaps... we could search together?"
Therista looked at the large Guardian for a moment, before turning to gaze at the setting sun. It would be safer to travel with another dragon. She was inexperienced when it came to fighting and had no knowledge of the beasts that might hunt in the dark.
After a few minutes of thinking, she turned back to Goldern.
"Yes. I think I'd very much like that. Let's find a place we can call home."
