Rune
"Light? Here!"
Rune likes strolling around in the dark. She likes helping people, especially at night, where it's dark. She can always use her bright runes to light the way.

"Follow me!"

The Past
Rune has always hated the dark, especially when she had no idea how to use the brightness of the runes before. The dragons that lived near her were sick of her wails as the darkness filled the city at midnight.
They couldn't take it anymore and started complaining to Midnight and Scorpion. Small, young Rune was extremely scared Scorpion would do something that can cost her life. She wanted to prove that she was brave - so at midnight, she ran away to the woods.
But she was so young, not knowing what is lurking around her. Each step was harder than the last, but she knew she has to go forward.
She had all the courage but all was lost when the bush rustled. Fear conquered everything, it was too late. She shut her eyes tight. The only thing she heard after that was a whimper and a voice that was soothing, calming her down.
She woke up in the laboratory, blinking continuously.
Why were you wandering in the woods, little one?" a voice said, gently. "Especially at night, where the creatures are active?"
Rune took a while to realize that was Midnight. She scrambled to the edge of the bed in fear.
"There's no need to be scared, I'm just here to solve your tiny little problem the citizens started complaining a few days ago." Midnight said softly.
Rune's eyes sparkled in interest - even though she had no idea what kind of solution Midnight has come up with.
And so, from that day on, she was no longer scared. Using her runes to brighten up the night was easier than she thought. Although she might need to work on her arrogance from time to time.
