Maximos

Uh-oh, looks like this pessimist wandered a little too far from his home lair (grxndsxn, 437722), and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him to the home lair, to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here, or to the hub if you don't want another dragon in return. Please refrain from exalting him! Important note: Please only trade this dragon on travelling dragon threads, as opposed to places such as the Auction House. Maximos would like to receive a permanent home someday, so if you'd like to adopt him after he's been travelling long enough, just let his owner know!

Maximos and his brother Mardak have always been close, despite their contrasting personalities. As ironic as it is, Mardak is the bright-eyed one... even though Maximos actually has the Bright eye type.

Maximos was actually quite reluctant to begin his travels. He hadn't really found the concept of meeting dragons that his father encountered to be all that interesting, but budged when Mardak brought up that their own mother is a travelling dragon. Maximos has always wanted to meet his mother...

The beginning of Maximos's journey brought through the charred territory of the Ashfall Waste and to the quirky town of Riftwist. Perhaps his personality drew him to the bleak sort of environment the Waste provided but the town he set foot in was anything but. Once through the portal that lead into the town, his surroundings had gone from barren ash and volcanic debris to bright pastel pink grass and equally gaudy painted buildings. There was no doubt it was a place his brother would feel much more at home in.

It wasn't all bad, to his surprise. He found a decent tavern and while inside he swapped stories with a dragon that also hailed from Plague territory. She introduced herself as an adventurer by the name of Amarok and she was quite helpful in giving descriptions of interesting travel routes in the Ashfall Waste and beyond Fire's borders. With that information in mind, Maximos didn't want to overstay his welcome in such a bright place. He bid the Skydancer farewell and set off on one of her recommended trails.

The Arcane realm wasn't the most exciting of places. At least, what he had seen of it. He wandered aimlessly through the starwood strand, following the great river which wound through the region. So far it was... pretty? He guessed? But he didn't really like the soft purples and blues. He was more of a red and black kind of guy. He rounded one final bend in the flowing water, and stopped in his tracks. Even though he didn't entirely like the color scheme, he had to admit the Astrolodome was quite impressive.

He entered through the South-East gate and asked around for a good place to stay. After finding a few options, he made his way to closest and stayed with Kander for a couple of nights. It really held nothing much of interest to him though, so he quickly left to find other places. After getting a few route suggestions from his host, of course.
