Underfoot
Delver, Digger From far beneath the Sunspot, this Geode Snapper was stirred from the depths when the fledgling clan first settled into the Greatwyrm's Breach... Having gone into stasis within the earth when she had barely become an adult, she remembers only sparse stories from long ago, which she loves to tell to the clan's hatchlings. The children love her incredible cheer which peeks through with every story she tells; she doesn't show them the sadness that those stories carry... Underfoot began to venture into the earth once more soon after emerging from it; she feels as though, perhaps, the soil that contained her body may also hold some old memories... In her search, however, all she finds is monsters, ores, and trinkets for the clan's shared Hoard. Underfoot has something of an adventurous itch, something that her situation allows her to scratch incredibly well- with subterranean monsters to fight and grand mysteries to solve, Underfoot can find comfort in the act of doing so. She searches for things she remembers from before her stasis, as well as the reason she was summoned to the Breach to enter it. She believes that she was brought here by the Earthshaker for a reason, but for what reason, she remains unsure. |

Relationships
Underfoot and the clan's historian Primar were naturally drawn to one another by the nature of each others' being. Underfoot needed expertise, and Primar was enthralled by Underfoot, who she considered something of a living artifact. The two of them occasionally get together to aid each other in their respective works, and have formed a deep mutual respect. The two do not meet often, but they consider each other close friends. Though she is friends with the Keeper of History herself, she often finds herself at odds with other historians and archeologists. She believes many of them see her only as a spectacle, which makes her deeply uncomfortable- after all, their spectacle is the source of much pain and distress for Underfoot. Even as she tries to voice her feelings, some dragons simply take her archaic speech as yet another study of theirs. Though she does not run into these dragons very often anymore, Primar stepping in to shoo away her strange paparazzi is one reason the two dragons are so close. She feels a certain kinship with Obelisk dragons, especially those made by the Earthshaker himself. Her own flesh replaced by stone, she feels as though she herself was also carved by the Earthshaker in some way. |
