The first child of Elmissa and Rynal, she is first in the line of succession. When she and her siblings first came into the world the three picked up Yorsa as a fourth sister and so were often seen playing together. For a time everything was happy and small and Isaura believed her parents would be together always. Then the arguments began and Isaura watched, helpless as the two beings she loved most in the world hurt one another.

When her parents separated she felt only relief in knowing they would no longer quarrel. After a time her mother had a second clutch and Isaura became excited at the prospect of new siblings. However when all but one were sent to the Icewarden along with her brother Vaun, she became inconsolable and fought with her mother. Elmissa took her on a trip through the Icefields and they visited their first home in the Frigid Floes. She suddenly understood why her mother sent so many of their clan to the Icewarden.

Isaura was fond of the Ridgeback brothers upon their first arrival to the clan however she grew attached to the quiet Trent. At first he did not notice her but after her siblings gave her courage, she approached him and the two began a quiet romance. The two would often walk together and talk, each embarrassed but pleased to be alone with the other. Soon they had two daughters both of which, once of age, were exalted.

Displeased with the decision, Trent left the clan. Isaura, upset that her mate would leave her when she needed him most, grew angry with him. Even his meek return did nothing to assuage her rage. She scorned his presence and asked her mother to banish him. When the Matriarch refused, Isaura took another mate and had another clutch out of spite. Both her mate and the hatchlings were sent away when it became clear Isaura would not care for them.

She and her sister, Vatrelia were sent to a clan in the Shifting Expanse. There, they spent a time with a clan which operated differently from her own. Exalts were frequent and mates were interchangeable. When they finally returned Isaura went to her mother who had found finally found a lifelong mate. The clan had shrunk in her absence however as a result they had a new den in the Fortress of Ends which would at last be their permanent home.

After much discussion with her mother, Isaura approached Trent and the two made amends and began a new tentative friendship. She harbors no ill will toward him or his new mate and has since been content to watch the happiness of others. Recently her mother purchased another dragon who was sent for auction by his clan. The young male shared her colors and so they began a quick and easy friendship.

Much time has passed since Mauno's arrival and the two have become quite close. Isaura is not sure if he will be her lifelong mate but she is eager to find out. As future Matriarch she has much to learn but there is one thing she knows fully. The well-being of the clan is foremost above all things.
