Biography
as you walk through the cave rooms on the tour of the clan dens, you hear feral animal noises. not aggressive, just… it doesn’t sound like domesticated dragonkind, and certainly not one that speaks any kind of common-tongue. the tour guide seems unfazed as the noises grow louder, and you finally deduce they’re coming from a small yet well-lit cavern with the label CARTOGRAPHER etched above the entrance. standing in the doorway, you can’t help but drop your mouth open at the sight. a small, slightly scraggly mirror runs around the room as if he has the zoomies, growling, drooling, and making noises that remind you of a rambunctious dragon hatchling.
“uh. is. is he okay..?” bewildered, you tentatively look back at your tour guide.
they respond matter-of-factly, “well of course! that’s edhelbor, our clan cartographer. he’s extremely smart and well spoken, if a bit eccentric.”
but you aren’t even convinced he’s sentient, if you’re being honest. you want to say he seems like a stray wild animal compared to the other dragons of the clan, but you hold your tongue. the tour guide is either a great actor and pulling a very convincing prank on you, or they truly believe this gremlin-creature is a proper cartographer. you decide it’s better if you don’t know.
he absolutely is NOT domesticated but everyone in the clan acts like (or maybe even believes) he is and every visitor thinks they’re losing their mind because THAT’S A WILD DRAGON. HE’S CHEWING ON THE FURNITURE WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE MAKES MAPS.
