Jessamine the Witch-Queen

From the moment Jessamine opened her eyes she saw flowers blooming around her. This miraculous gift turned from a cause for revelry to a reason for her exile. For though the flowers were beautiful and added colour and life to her previous home, the gnarled trees and serrated vines that followed caused chaos to break out, and for the young Jessamine to be sent away forever. In her solitude she did not grow hateful, in fact her empathy grew as quickly as the forest that now surrounds her. Though she hides herself in the depths of this bizarre and expansive woodland, those who dwell within can feel her presence all around them. Despite the woods being home to rebels and rogues, Jessamine doesn’t tolerate violence in the slightest. A flash of lightning and a hiss of wind through the branches is enough of a warning for those overstepping their mark to back down and settle their qualms civilly.
Jessamine is unaware of just how expansive her woods have become due to the fact that she cannot truly control her powers. She is considered a queen among the witches of the woods because she formed the first gathering of witches in the woodlands by offering protection from external forces such as the Order of Scarwood. In return for their protection, the witches take care of the plants and the animals that Jessamine adores so dearly. When Jessamine does appear to those in the woods, she is always accompanied by a herd of Maned Cerdae.
