If you pet this dragon:
You halfway expect the jaguar pattern to be a thin sheen of fur, so you're surprised when you get close enough to see that the pattern is instead produced by millions of tiny, soft scales. The glimmer under Skylor's belly and on her antlers is hard and crystalline in texture, and it falls away in tiny crumbles like glitter as you lightly swipe your hand over it. The facet on her wings appears smooth like segmented glass, but when you touch them they are as soft as butterfly wings, and a fine powder residue of microscopic scales dusts your hands. Her mane is stiff, and tousled by exposure to the constant wind, much like that of a wild horse.
