Perys has worn many guises all his life and walked many paths. Many adventures he has known, and many friends (and foes) he's made. There have been allies, fellows-in-arms, partners, comrades - children, too. Perys never stays long in one place, though. He is always on the move, very vibrant and energetic and passionate - dedicated, even - when he's there, but there always comes a moment where one turns around and finds him vanished. There's always a reason - a genuine one, usually, but sometimes it just borders plainly on a poor excuse. He's not a bad friend, partner or father, even, he's just - busy, so to speak. Casual. Slinking in and out of folks' lives, always leaving at just the right moment, never getting into too much trouble.
Perys doesn't mind a "tangle with trouble" from time to time, though, so long as it's on his own terms, or otherwise enjoyable. A good brawl with a worthy opponent, for example. Mist, his often-times companion, is also worth the trouble, and the cluttered mess that always surrounds her, and the weird smells, and the eerie books that have a life of their own. She is as eccentric as Perys is, and he appreciates that sort of honesty, a simple refusal to subject to what others think is "normal". Perys has a somewhat more strained relationship with his son Beltran, who was one of the few hatchlings raised by Perys from nest until adulthood, and all the trouble that comes with it. Beltran loves his father, sure, and Perys is - again - not a bad father, but - well, he could have done with being a little more present at times. Though he did teach Beltran the trick of knowing how to pick your fights... (Bought off Action House as a Guardian; made over with these genes.)
