xxVertical2.png Her parents aren't Crows, nor were their parents, so the origin of her genetic inheritance is somewhat of a mystery to this young Jackdaw. Regardless, she finds herself with a few traits that set her decidedly apart from the rest of her Wildclaw family, and after one too many conflicts with them, she has chosen to walk her own path.

...but even a Jackdaw can draw attention from Crows, and Nadezhda is no exception. Her markings are half-hidden behind a very un-Crow-like coloration, and she still moves and speaks like a Wildclaw, but her scent betrays her genetics to those with sensitive noses... such as an opportunistic Albino Crow who might find a use for her in time.

She doesn't mind the unexpected attention--she doesn't know much about Crow society, and so she doesn't understand her precarious position. For now, she is unmarked, taken under wing by this 'friendly' Crow who has begun feeding her selective tidbits about the Crows in her ancestry. With a little time and experimentation, she begins to feel out her inherited abilities, and her mentor learns more about her probable bloodlines.

Eboncrow x Deviant Crow Lineage

Eboncrow
[Viral Signature: Deathstrike]

A trait stemming from the Eboncrow bloodline.

Odorless and more immediately fatal compared to its bolstering-blood frenzying cousin. Eboncrows are able to control the dose that is distributed to their victims.

In small amounts, dizziness, nausea and confusion and thrashing are common symptoms that may not necessarily lead to death but certainly extreme discomfort. Larger quantities can overstimulate the heart and lead to a quick death in a matter of minutes.

Outwardly, it appears similar to a strong venom, but make no mistake that it is a bloodborne disease that can quickly spread to infect others that have made contact with it. It is important to note that Effluvial Crows are immune to their disease, but the inverse is not true. It is delivered via a puncture from their claws.

It can be used in conjunction as a “combo ability” with the Lesser Eboncrow’s (peacock) strain to prevent the victim from succumbing to death when afflicted by their contagion. Between the two, this helps to ensure that there are far more useful hostages than there would be silent corpses.

Deviant Crow
[Wing Traits: Aegis Wings]

A very rare Lesser Crow latent trait known as a “Deviant” trait that allows one to harden their wings to exceptional degrees--granting the both physical and magical protection.

During this time while their wings are hardened, they may struggle to fly effectively and prefer to adhere to grounded forms of combat. This does mean that they are a force to be reckoned with when confronted within enclosed spaces.

Eboncrow
[Latent Traits I: Murder Brigade (Offense)]

An Eboncrow latent perk. The individual works naturally well in groups--too well, in fact. They will prefer to be part of a mob rather than fight alone, but once having blended into the crowd of angry faces, they are able to weave in and out effortlessly, picking up hits where others leave off and sleuthing for other equally delicious opportunities to contribute.

Eboncrow
[Latent Traits II: Clawed Connections]

An Eboncrow latent perk. Individuals with this trait are naturally good at making connections within all societies. Rules and etiquette come easily to them even if they don’t believe in it themselves. They can naturally find their way to a black market or ties with the societal underworld. Either way if there’s a question that needs answering, they usually know who to ask.
