Biography
Uh-oh, looks like this fisherman wandered a little too far from his home lair (grxndsxn, 437722), and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him to the home lair, to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here, or to the hub if you don't want another dragon in return. Please refrain from exalting him!
Important note: Please only trade this dragon on travelling dragon threads, as opposed to places such as the Auction House.
Loca would like to receive a permanent home someday, so if you'd like to adopt him after he's been travelling long enough, just let his owner know!

Loca's profession has been left with some confusion. Why be a fisherman if you don't even eat fish?
The answer is simple - he gathers seafood for dragons such as Ridgebacks, who eat seafood but never go in the water.
After touring the Sea of a Thousand Currents, Loca decided to explore the river canyons cutting through Sunbeam Ruins. Since the mainland was so high above the water, there were hardly any dragons there. One day, while fishing from a cliff, he spotted a silver guardian in the distance, seemingly playing in the water and making her way slowly upstream. At one point he looked away, and when he looked back she was rising from the water very close by. It was easy to forget that guardians could swim so fast!
"Greetings," said the guardian. "I am Telperion, the guardian of a nearby land. Tel for short."
"I'm Loca," he replied, regaining composure. "I'm a traveling fisherman, and I had never fished here before and thought I'd give it a shot. Do you know if I'm encroaching on anyone's territory?"
"Not that I'm aware. There are boats that come through here to the Sea of a Thousand Currents, and there are inhabitants on either side of the water, but I don't know that anyone has claimed the canyon itself." Tel looked up at the southern cliff. "I hope you're aware of the dangers of Hewn City."
"Yes. I'm not really interested in getting involved there, just fishing."
"Well, I'm not trying to shoo you off, but I believe you would have much better luck closer to the Tsunami Flats."
Loca laughed. "I know I would - I just came from there. I'm looking for something new. Is anyone in your clan in need of seafood? I particularly like to help out ridgebacks."
Tel thought for a moment. "We have a fisherman, but she's been getting rather tired of that kind of work, so we could give her a break to spend some time with her Charge. If you fish for us, you can stay as long as you like. We've hosted traveling dragons before."
So Loca followed the guardian back to her clan territory, to spend some time fishing in exchange for room and board. There weren't any other tundras there, but the pearlcatchers had good taste in plants, and he lacked nothing he needed or wanted. He was even able to show the clan's fisher how to catch a few more kinds of seafood, for which the ridgeback and coatls were very grateful. He left that place happy and refreshed for the next part of his journey.
Eventually, his travels brought him to the Everbloom Gardens. Nature's domain wasn't known for an abundance of big fish, but the Gardens had plenty of water pools, so Loca decided to take his chances. He picked a nice comfortable spot in the bushes and settled down for a few quiet hours of fishing. Or so he hoped.
Loca's thoughts were interrupted by loud footsteps somewhere nearby. Looking around, he spotted two figures walking towards him - a Bogsneak and an Obelisk. "Ah!" said the Bogsneak, "It seems like my favorite spot is already taken!"
Loca was about to apologize, but the dragon waved him off. "Don't worry about it, we're not short on food. I was just showing Cloud around, it's never been fishing before, can you imagine?" The dragon chuckled and plopped down on the grass on the edge of the pool. "Anyway, the name's Rat. This is Stormcloud. We live nearby."
"A couple hours away," corrected Stormcloud in a low rumbly voice.
Loca introduced himself and offered them some of his fish, but they politely refused. Rat, clearly being the most talkative one in the group, started asking Loca about his life. He gladly told them of his travels and aspirations. As he talked, he started feeling more at ease. The dragons seemed nice, and they wanted to know about him, although Cloud seemed more interested in his skills than stories.
He ended up teaching it a small fishing lesson, before packing up and going on his way. Rat scared all the fish away anyway.
