______ The earth trembled. The wind seethed. All around the gathered dragons, the air crackled as the sky turned to a sickening shade of greyish green. In their blood, the meaning ran clear. Cold and icy as the truth settled on them. The Oathpack has been broken. How? When? They had no time. No time to think. No time to argue. Only the time to gather what they could and run. Their land wouldn't allow them to go far but they had a hope, a twinkling star in a sky of looming darkness.
"Lenaly!", Sylla called. And soon the dragon was beside here, her wings shaking in the cold breeze as the elements started to turn against their own keepers and protectors. Lenaly's green eyes were veiled by the worry, the sadness and the trouble.
"How could he have?" The words died in the young dragon's throat. Sylla huffed and brushed a comforting wing against Lenaly's shoulder.
"The King must not have had a choice," the elder said. "The Oathpack was a danger we were ready to weather."
Lenaly lowered her head.
"Do not hold this against the King. The Felldyr are powerful, more powerful than we could have envisioned."
"Yes, Great Mother."
"You are still young, Lenaly," Sylla went on with a sliver of nostalgia in her voice. "Your soul and powers are not yet tied to this land."
"What do you mean?" Lenaly's confusion was written all over her face. With a trace of shame.
"Do no get me wrong. You are worthy of staying here. But we won't let our legacy die with this land. Take the relics and go. Find a safer place."
The deep green eyes of the elder found Lenaly's.
"Find a safer place and rebuild our people."

______ And so, Lenaly set forth to find a new land to settle.
