SeaBreeze flew in from the Shifting Expanse, and made friends with a Gaseous Megashrimp on the way, when she rescued him from an Octoflyer attack. Of course she was solicitous of his injuries, and it was quite some time before she realized that her tender care of him was above average, and she had found her Charge. She treated him very well, setting him up in comfort within her own lair space. After that, it seemed her lair would rise higher than the others of the Weyr, but so slightly she didn't pay it any mind. Then one day when she knew she'd be out fighting for a longer than usual span, she left a lot of extra food for Gazi, so he would be content without her, and returned to a very noticeable difference in altitude. He'd eaten everything, and burbled happily to see her, creating even more gas. She experimented: the happier and more fed he was, the more gas he produced. This had possibilities! Since then, the Weyr has been actively seeking out companions for Gazi, and the mob together have jointly elevated WindSky to the greatest height in all of Sornieth.
"SeaBreeze! Oh, I'm glad you're here, we've just gotten a severe Weather Alert!" It was Gwentoth.
"Another tornado?? I though Stormhaith had perfected ..."
"No, no, it's a blizzard this time! Not just wind, but snow and ice, too, could be even more damaging..."
It figures most of the Weyr's Ice dragons were away at the annual Winter Games, SeaBreeze thought before replying, "I'll get Gemolath to release some food stores! We should have plenty to get this mob to lift us above the worst! And I'll get some runners to bring some extra supplies down to the Den!"
Gwentoth smiled, and handed her a list. She'd foreseen the need already.
