Morgen always was fascinated by the glittery gleam of treasure.

The taste of it on her tongue, the intricately carved surface, the shine of gold in the light of the Carnivale's lanterns, it was..intoxicating. She had been born, see, for treasure, she saw the bags passed between the Carnivale's Mistress and the owner of her parent's lair, and from that day on, she couldn't help but..wonder about it. She was worth something, clearly, and so why not make herself worth even MORE?

Sure, the other members of the Carnivale didn't understand her strange fixations on everything shiny, but she just couldn't help herself. Who didn't want the cool feel of metal on their scales at all times? However, her obsession did not just extend to hoarding or dressing. She even counted and organized other's treasure piles, just to get to touch their coins and trinkets.

Such an odd habit indeed caught the eye of Mistress Vinia, who notified Pautin. After all, it seemed Morgen was quite skilled in this counting and organizing, and those that visited her almost seemed to start making better financial decisions as well. Clearly, they'd be able to use such a skill, would they not?

And so, Morgen found herself constantly surrounded by gold, as the official Carnivale Treasurer.
