the heart finds that with gentleness, it grows fonder…”
as the sun hid its face once more, the sky slowly faded to a blended mix of indigo and rose. the sound of crickets and cicadas was prominent on the warm summer night, incessant as the stars made themselves known beside the moon which was just a sliver in the sky. with the change of the world around her, Astraea took the chance to stray away from the ruins she typically dwelled within. she kept herself posted within these archaic walls, isolated from most of dragonkind, preferring to have the nighttime all to herself.
as she sat in the swaying grass, she tipped her head up to the sky. it all felt serene this time around. there was solace in the peace, in the world here.
