About

Once upon a time, he was a doctor, of sorts. Now, he does everything he can to keep everyone away from a place he calls "the woods."

The branches overhead creaked, warning of something moving from above. Shadows danced just out of sight, swarming around the imperial as he ignored them. He was old, older than most, and had spent far too much of his life in those damned woods. Day after day, he worked to keep the borders secure, to hide away the true nature of the woods from the rest of the world. He rarely visited the outside world, nor did he fully remember his life before the woods, but he knew his purpose.

He must stay vigilant and not give into the shadows that lurked in the corners of his eyes, waiting to feast upon his mind. It would be so easy to give in, all he had to do was relax and they would feast upon him like the starving monsters they were. But day after day, he remained, unwavering in his determination to keep what lied in the woods away from the rest of the world.
