What is a Captain, Nay, but a man who gathers and trusts his will with those of different cultures? Who accepts the wayward and fallen and offers them the hand of fate? Nexus Everglade LeRoux is a man of humble origins, his broad shoulders carrying the fate of his willpower, and those he dedicates himself to. The Valkyrie is a three masted Galleon, 5 decked tall-ship. The wood is a rich mahogany, stained and treated to be water, fire, and stain resistant. The railings on the side of the ship are ornately carved with the waves as inspiration, and the bow of the ship has a Valkyrie of Norse Mythology carved into it, her wings outstretched along the sides as she holds an engraved shield and spear as the point of the ship design. The back is painted with gold, black, and white filigree, "Valkyrie" in bold, cursive letters.

The main deck is decorated with black iron lanterns of old, but instead of with oil and flame, are colored with lavender lit lights, exhuding a gentle and mystical glow.

Nexus is a dramatic entrepreneur with a charming smile and sharp, magenta eyes that feel as though they can see within your soul, yet looking within them yields little answers to the mystery of the man himself. His ice blue hair is another intense visual that he uses to his advantage, drawing you in so the less you'll see. He is a self-made master blacksmith, mercantile manager, and information trader who dances the line of secrecy and subterfuge, doing everything and anything necessary to protect those he loves and has taken under his wing.

He has a strong moral compass, although he understands the ways of the world and the sacrifices that have to be made. He bears those burdens so that others do not have to - becoming a figure that he never had in his younger days for the betterment of the world and those who dwell in it.

He was by no means a man who was above grief nor loss, being touched by it at a young age with the murder of his village and his family, especially with the loss of his younger brother, Cypher. He survived the devastation thanks to the kindness of strangers, and he grew up helping them to pay them back for saving his life. Eventually, his eyes turned towards the Great War and those that caused worldwide devastation and made it his goal to be a thorn in their side. Gathering a small guerilla taskforce, their attempts were small but focused on disrupting movements and placing false intel to distract and mislead the military in order to save those that were innocent from the collateral damage of the fighting.

Eventually, he took it upon himself to look beyond his home, and repurposed the tall ship, the Valkyrie, to sail the seas and help those without the means or connections to help themselves in a world wrought with loss.

It was not by his hand that directed him to his current path, however, but the hands of the gods and their unseen threads that brought him to a new world and a new love. A surprise storm took his ship and crew into a glacial hurricane, landing them ashore in a frozen lake. This strange world brought many questions, yet with the appearance of a woman and her brother in the icy storm, those questions were answered, letting his heart settle to see the magic before his very eyes.

It was not just any woman that won over his heart, but the Herald, the High Queen of Lethe, Amira - leading him to a destiny far greater than any he had ever anticipated.
