Only once in her life has Vivid seen an Emperor dragon, but her encounter with Luminax scarred her - both figuratively and literally - for the rest of her life. She is one of the clan's fiercest warriors and wears her damaged scales as a badge of honor, and reminder of her survival. Few dare oppose her when she is stubbornly sets her mind to winning an argument as she is known to hold grudges.

She is the mate of good natured Diem, the clan's librarian. She is a stern guardian to the younger charges, but her mate can temper her severity with a gentle smile. He helps to remind her of the joy in being with the ones you love and helps her to be more patient.

One of the few dragons that she can joke around with is Sunburst. Her fellow guard is a strong, capable dragon so she doesn't worry about showing "vulnerability" to her. The two are able to discuss very personal topics with each other, which has allowed them to become close confidants.
