Biography

Just, bassist for Punk Ate'nt Dead. Band Manager Somerville is his stepmom. He knows that Cat is his true identity, and likes that he looks like a cross between a Sphynx and a Siamese. Poppy sometimes calls him a naked mole rat, but only with the greatest of affection. If anyone else calls him that, Spike will put his trademark microphone knives to stabby use.

Spike is backup vocals. Spike has some ambitions to start his own hair metal band, but his first love and loyalty will always be to his bandmates in Punk Ate'nt Dead.

About his namesake: Ernest Everett Just (August 14, 1883 – October 27, 1941) was a pioneering African-American biologist, academic and science writer. Just's primary legacy is his recognition of the fundamental role of the cell surface in the development of organisms. In his work within marine biology, cytology and parthenogenesis, he advocated the study of whole cells under normal conditions, rather than simply breaking them apart in a laboratory setting.
