Personality:

X-Box is not a talkative dragon. He follows a motto of work now, talk later, and unless the conversation is about what he's working on, he'll do his best to end it as soon as possible. It's not that he isn't one to talk. It's just that his priority is his work and everything else comes after he's finished. His free time is often taken up by his mate Chloecat though, so it's rare for one to get to know him.

X-Box is likely one of the most intelligent dragons in the lair, if not the most intelligent. If another dragon needs help with something they're working on, he's the one to go to with your questions. He's fully capable of answering questions while he works, but should he not begin to answer immediately, he's too busy focusing at the current moment, and likely will answer when he can relax some. He's incredibly helpful, but only towards things that interest him.

Outside of his work, X-Box is a quiet dragon. He rarely interacts with others, and as such, he's usually out of the loop when it comes to current events. He tends to hang out around the same dragons all the time because of this, as his interactions are common enough for him to have a general idea of what's been happening with them. He's proven to be quite caring though, and even if he has an unconventional way of voicing his concerns, his actions of getting to the point as fast a possible works most of the time.

Regarding secrets, X-Box has a plethora. There's a well-known rumor that no one knows all of them, including Nightmare, and another that the only way the clan can get secrets from him is by telling him ones he's not supposed to know. Regardless of what's true and what's not true, outside of the ones who know, X-Box plans on taking all of his secrets to his grave.

That being said, some clan members do know he occasionally mutters to himself, and know that his mannerisms tend to change during these periods. They're very short, but it's whispered that the Imperial acts similarly when required to fight for the clan. Whatever the cause, only the clan leaders know, and they aren't going to let everyone else know anytime soon.

Physique:

While X-Box has a normal physique for an Imperial, he usually looks a mess. He's constantly clad in some sort of protective apparel, and usually covered in some level of grime, oil, dirt, or some other material. He keeps his mane cut short, and has completely shaved his beard due to his tasks in the clan, and its not uncommon to see his tail curled as close to him as possible at all times.

Magic-wise, X-Box has inherited the magical markings from his father's side of the family, taking on the appearance of pale green wings and swirls along his body. While he himself rarely uses magic, and has hardly trained in it, he constantly uses it to aid in his work. It's likely not strong enough to be used in combat otherwise.

It's also important to note that X-Box knows how to use his sword, a family heirloom.

Likes:

His work and being able to remain dedicated to it

Technology in general

The Lightning and Arcane Flights, but not their deities

Being able to be there and take care of his family

His colleagues

Willing test subjects

Dislikes:

Interruptions of any kind

Those who believe Arcane and Lightning could never work together

Anyone who threatens his clan or his family

Those who say they can do his work better than him, but not explain how

Any sort of work being released to the public or shared with unknown scientists before being reviewed

Unwilling test subjects

Lore:

X-Box surprisingly didn't start as a scientist of any kind when he initially stumbled across the clan. Instead, he was put to work in aiding with digging, having been the second large dragon to ever decide to stay with the clan. He's largely responsible for the early layout of the lair, using his wits to find the best places to carve out new tunnels, as well as locate the best places for new dens to go. His time digging was long gone when the aqueduct was discovered, but he had dug up a chest containing the bracelet he still wears before he was no longer needed.

Contrary to belief, he didn't arrive at the same time as Chloecat. The Pearlcatcher arrived a few weeks after he had been allowed to set up a proper workshop, but the two quickly became friends. The Pearlcatcher had been tasked with documenting the members in the clan, and when it came time to talk to the Imperial, the two clicked almost instantly. She's always been fascinated with X-Box's work, and he's always been equally fascinated with her cheerful demeanor and the dedication she showed to her craft. He always admires looking at her drawings of clan members, and should he hear her humming while passing by his workshop, he usually stops to listen to her songs until she's out of earshot. As time passed, he and Chloecat have had many nests and many spectacular children, but few stick around the lair after reaching adulthood.

Since starting his workshop, Xbox has expanded it multiple times. This was done partially to account for his many projects, but also to accommodate any of his colleagues should they wish to join him. He enjoys their company, and while it's hard for many members of the clan to understand their conversations, they agree that it's always nice to hear X-Box holding conversations with others.

However, if there's one important thing to remember, it's that X-Box has done his fair share of experiments, both ethical and unethical. While the clan does not condone him for such things they have had to give him limits. While his clanmates are rarely in danger, do not be surprised if he approaches one or two in hopes of getting a willing test subject. He'd much prefer someone who wouldn't mind participating in his experiment over hunting down a rogue dragon to drag back into the underground portion of his workshop. He hates the screams, and while he's killed his conscious against them, he knows others do as well.
