Nostrus

LORE IS A BIG WIP

The freezing ember:

Nostrus was always disconnected from the world and despite being a fire dragon he was cold and lifeless. As a hatchling, he never played around nor was he ever seen smiling, laughing, or depicting any other emotion besides disinterest. Rather than be in the action, he would observe other’s behaviors and happenings from afar. However he had one thing he quickly took to; creating. He would create the most melancholic and beautiful creations using any material he could find! Yet, they were never understood by any other dragon. Nostrus was told that as a fire dragon he should forge the toughest weapons and metals, not spend his time making useless things, since art was for the delusional. His dreams soon crushed that’s exactly what he did. As he aged Nostrus became known as the best blacksmith in the area but he still lacked something deep within.
It wasn’t until a dragon of shadow decided to set up shop nearby that his life changed for the better.

A tale of two hearts:

It was a quiet warm morning and like always Nostrus had an early start to his day within his workshop. As of now he was forging a broadsword for a customer. The blade was intricately forged with detail within its metal unlike any other blacksmith’s work. He held the sword up to the oil lamp light, satisfied with his work.

Unexpectedly someone began to approach his shop. With the nearing footsteps he looked off to the side and out the window. Nostrus rolled his eyes letting out a groan when he sees who’s coming close, the new weapons merchant; the dragon of shadow.

“Hey there stranger” She rests her arms up on the wooden window frame.

Nostrus being the cold, temperamental dragon he is, he just turned away to grab some tools out of a basket, however in his hurry the basket was accidentally knocked over.

“Oh let me help!” The door to the shop creaks open and she hurries over to the workshop area to pick up some fallen hammers.

“Nobody is allowed in my workshop besides me” Nostrus grumbles.

“It’s perfectly fine to accept help from time to time.” The orange guardian smiles.
