P E R S O N A L I T Y
Avril is very much confident and in control at all times. Even when she doesn't understand what's going on, she'll keep calm and either take control of the situation or seek out the person who knows the most and defer to them. She's proud and prefers to be in charge, but she's not so proud that she can't let someone else take the reins if they're qualified.

While she is soft spoken and nonthreatening, she can easily become threatening if the need arises. She doesn't like scaring people, except those that use their power or standing to cause misery for others. When she meets someone like that, she has no problem bowing up and getting in their face. For everyone else, she has no problem with getting on their level.

She's fiercely protective of those weaker than herself and will always stand up for them or protect them from harm. Without people to protect, what's the point of strength? This does sometimes lead her to protect the wrong people when she doesn't have enough information to go by, and it has gotten her into trouble before. She will apologize for hurting people and attempt to make amends.

B I O G R A P H Y

Born in Hellwell Undercroft, Avril had always known death, decay, and struggle. She proved to be adaptable to her surroundings and hardy enough to constantly survive the diseases that came from the Plague lands. That was not true for everyone, and she felt bad for the people who struggled to survive, especially when they were made fun of or bullied because of it. From a very young age she would stick up for those poor souls and fight off any bully who thought they could get away with their cruelty. Being a hatchling, she wasn't able to defeat everyone, so she set out to train herself and get stronger. In her quest for strength, she wandered the Plague lands, protecting people as she went. She became something of a bodyguard for hire.

It was during her wandering days that she met a group of harpies. She asked them to teach her how to be stronger and they agreed. One harpy in particular, Minerva, grew to like Avril as less a student and more a friend. When Avril finally moved on, Minerva went with her. Together they were able to defeat any monster that came at them.

One day when she was wandering the beaches near Hellwell Undercroft, she stumbled onto Rudan being attacked by monsters. She quickly chased them off and found herself intrigued by Rudan's complete lack of panic or urgency. She stuck by his side as he gathered shells and they talked about everything and nothing at the same time. She thought little of the encounter until a few days later she found him again getting attacked by monsters on a different beach. This time when she saved him, he made a joke about her doing it for a living. She revealed that that is indeed what she did for a living and he hired her on the spot.

For a few times every week, they would meet up on the beaches. Rudan would collect shells while Avril protected him. They got closer and closer, sharing stories of their past and explaining their interested to each other. One day, Rudan asked her to join him on the flight back to his home in Hoverview Vale. Avril agreed and once she got there, she never really left.

She spends her time protecting the island, Rudan, and anyone that needs it. She's the unofficial peacekeeper and town sheriff, though she would deny the role if asked. She's happy enough to help and protect her new home.
