Petunia doesn't speak much on her past - While it doesn't bother her to be asked about it, she doesn't have much to say! She had an average home life, an average childhood and an average time growing up, but she did find an intense and deep interest in the arcane and all that surrounded it.
She was a bright child, full of smiles and the drive to learn, to learn more about the world around her, what ingredients did what in potions, always sticking her nose in cabinets and patches of flowers where it didn't belong, no matter how many times her parents tried ushering her away, she was always picking and eating plants she most certainly should not have in her mouth, or even handling without proper protection! This curiosity was nurtured and eventually became her profession. However she found herself growing.. Well, a bit bored with it! Sure, she knew all she could about Light territory flora, but what about Arcane? Or Earth? Or Nature!? What about the minerals that could be found in Lightning territories- The fulgurite! This newfound, excited and overjoyed interest lead her to packing her bags, giving incredibly tearful goodbyes to her parents, and heading out to explore Sornieth freely. She wasn't very sure on where she would wind up, but wherever it was, she was positive she'd make the most of it, and she was positive she'd find friends through her travels. And you know what? She was right! Petunia, not too long after setting out, found a lovely home settled near The Source, where she's settled in perfectly as the clan's go-to encyclopedia, being able to tell anyone about just about anything, more than happy to listen and engage with those who come to her for help identifying a plant, potion or ore, needing an ear, or small talk! In the end, though the decision was hard, Petunia regrets nothing she's done that's lead her to the place she is now, happy with her new friends- Heck, she'd consider them as family- Her ever-growing knowledge and her new forever home. And, hey, the Stormcatcher certainly caught her eye, just like the Lightweaver once did, so that's just an added bonus! |
