The Catalyst
Oh look at that! A shooting star... Like Moonfire, Ardor is struggling to stay out of his statue form. Even when awake, crystals are forming on his hide. * Ardor is beginning to recover, though somewhat more slowly than Moonfire. * Greenskeeper Gathering has seen Ardor shed his statueform and profess a strong desire to stay awake for the entire festival. The clan would prefer he didn't. |

Ardor is a mismatched dragon. Originating with Earthshaker's mighty claw, he is a Fire dragon oddly fascinated with the machinations of Lightning. He has opined that he would love to move to the parched sides of the Carrion Canyon—something the survivors of the clan's time in Derecho Canyon are less than amused with him for—but prefers to stay with his friends in Cindercone Clan to chasing that dream. While grateful for his assistance in facilitating their return to Fire, much of the clan finds Ardor either irritating or worrisome, and he has no close friends—though that doesn't seem to bother him. Statue Ardor's statueform is primarily anatase, though he tends to accrue a coating of ash even when kept in a sheltered area, and is hot to the touch. He rarely takes the state outside of deep exhaustion, however, preferring the heightened awareness of proper life. Physical description Ardor is a fairly small obelisk with aquiline wings and a dense, muscular build. While a strong, enduring flyer, he lacks maneuverability on the wing, and has chosen to augment his natural abilities with Lightning-built booster jets. Overland he a steady walker, with the ability to produce a quick burst of speed when necessary. He is a poor swimmer and tends to sink. Like most obelisks he has rather little smell, with a mineral quality. Combat Ardor relies on speed and agility, quickly charging in to center stage but failing to stand up to repeated blows as his kind are known for. |

Origin Ardor is one of the first-awakened Obelisks sent to active clans. As such he served as the unwitting catalyst for Cindercone Clan's return to Fire. |

Kin Like other first-awakened Obelisks, Ardor's kinship is directly to his fellows and to the Earthshaker alone, though he hopes to generate a family at some point. |
