Winter's Herald - The Huntsman upholds his Tattered Mantle

A pact with a force of nature and an act of vengeance led him on the path to becoming “The Huntsman” he’s now known as, standing as The revenge deity of the realm. Unlike the other deities who act as mediators and ushers for wandering souls, he works to coax the restless dead to get "what's owed to them" from those who wronged them in life. He's perfectly pleased to do it on their behalf if not, his reasoning almost excusing the violence he is prone to.
Willingly becoming Winter's Herald, given the promise of power and ability to forge a new identity, he thought he had this power wrapped around his finger. This confidence has begun to rapidly waver in recent times, the prospect of his deity replacing him with someone younger and more promising. Terrified at the thought of having his power, pride, and legacy fall apart, he's done a hard lean into his perception as a needlessly cruel deity. Even he struggles to know if this will keep everything from falling apart.

The Warden (Why would she care? Redemption for whom? He is her bane, the thorn in her side, the antithesis to what she does, and yet she tries.)
The "Successor" (Why would his deity do this to him? It's most dutiful? Would would his deity choose someone as fragile as /this/? He'll find out, one way or another.)
