Jape

Jape is incredibly gifted in the art of crystal magic, and has been known to construct elaborate grids out of the barest of gems. He is adept in sensing the energy auras of crystals, and becomes perturbed by any unbalance. He is also quite skillful in astronomy, although his true interest is in his gems. He often helps Veneficus with various spells and rituals, but the two don't get along. They bicker constantly due to their contrasting personalities. Jape prefers order and organization, while Veneficus values chaos and disarray. Jape, like Veneficus, has an extensive collection of crystals and gems which he guards solicitously.

Jape has a rather cranky disposition, despite having a caring heart. He's an extreme perfectionist, and becomes extremely agitated if something isn't exactly the way he wants it. His dry sense of humor in combination with obsessive habits often put other dragons off. They often mistake him for stuck-up, when in reality, he's quite shy. Get past his rough exterior, and Jape is a loyal and useful friend.
