Biography
Gabriel has become the de facto leader of the Lanternlighters' Guild in the midst of their crisis. He is the only dragon who seems determined to take care of everyone, to turn Beacon Town into more than just a temporary shelter from the storm. He wants his companions to be united against the Everdark, ready to face whatever it throws at them together. He believes this is the only way they will survive. Actually pulling this fracturing group together has been more difficult than expected, however. Gabriel hopes to come to some sort of compromise with the Seeker and Sunlighter factions, but their leaders must wish to talk first, and nobody seems ready to make concessions even despite the growing danger. It will be an uphill battle. |

Faction
When the Lanternlighters' Guild began to split into factions, a number of dragons chose to stand by Gabriel and his steadfast wish to keep everybody safe. They call themselves the Sentinels, though Gabriel is loathe to allow them to separate themselves from the others, and their goal is twofold: make Beacon Town safe, and keep the Guild from fracturing. They mediate between the other two factions, and they protect everybody they can. Gabriel is the dragon the other Sentinels look to for leadership, though he never asked for the position. He chooses where to invest the Guild's resources, negotiates with the leaders of the other factions, and trains his dragons to fight whatever dangers might lurk in the Everdark. He rarely gets a moment's rest. |

Possessions
Gabriel only keeps those items he finds absolutely necessary; anything that another dragon could put better use to, he passes along. The Guild is full of skilled specialists, and Gabriel is but a warrior sent along to guard over them; it follows, then, that the skilled specialists should get the rare and interesting items, and Gabriel himself should only keep that which helps him defend the others. His armor is well-cared-for and polished; in his free time he takes extra care of his arms and armor. He finds it soothing, knowing that he will be well-equipped. |

Caledon | Mate | Sentinel Faction Gabriel and Caledon signed on for the expedition together, and their goals align. Where Gabriel is a steadfast leader, commanding respect by example, Caledon's critical eye identifies flaws in their defenses and quick solutions for problems. The ongoing crisis has put a strain on their personal relationship, but Gabriel and Caledon continue to work in tandem for the sake of the Sentinels and the entire Lanternlighters' Guild. |

Lux is the leader of the Seeker faction, and is constantly at odds with Gabriel. She is not interested in cooperation; in her mind, the Seekers are the only ones who can solve this crisis, and they should invest extra resources into exploring the ruins. Gabriel disagrees, and because he can control the flow of resources, they clash frequently. |

Sunborn | Associate | Sunlighter Faction Sunborn cares for one thing: escaping the ruins, despite the mounting evidence that it is a vain hope as long as the curse over Beacon Town remains. She is passionate and driven, though, and has gained followers in those dragons who need the hope she offers more than ever. Gabriel doesn't want to dislike her, but she wastes vast amounts of resources in ill-advised pushes for daylight. |

Naos | Quartermaster | Sentinel Faction
Naos is one of the most trustworthy dragons in the expedition, and she has retained her original job. She is both the requisition officer of the Lanternlighters and their quartermaster, in charge of keeping the supply lines running despite being trapped in the Everdark. She has placed an immense amount of trust in Gabriel's leadership, and he owes her a lot. |
