Burr was once a hatchling that roamed the halls of the Wayfarer's Library, the son of a tinkerer and an excursionist. His parents were always busy with their own work-- his mother, far away on trips to dig up some new material for the library, and his father neck-deep in his inventions that he never really had the time to pay attention to Burr. So, one day, after raising himself, he left. Packed up his minute things, and simply walked away. Of course, as he was leaving town, he bumped into Carnival and Carousel-- two circus owners that were, at the time, debating with their child if truly belonged at the library or in Pythi.

Turns out, a trade was made! Candy would stay in the Library, while Burr would say goodbye to his home and come to the land of a multi-eyed queen. He would be introduced to Reverie by the two brightly-colored dragons, and he would find himself in a library once more. Except, Reverie actually paid attention to Burr. It is here that he found a passion for alchemy, not unlike his father, and began to work under her guidance. He's even created a walking, barking flower to be his loyal companion.
