Biography
Generous/Bold/Noble
Head blacksmith
Salvaged from beneath the earth like his brethren, Hephaestus was initially quite the outcast when first introduced to the clan. Struggling to find meaning without a given purpose, the obelisk simply observed for a while, and grew friendly with fellow fire dragons living in the clan. Eventually he came to the realization that the scavenging team was devoting much more time to gathering resources and foraging for materials, which proved to be costly in time and energy. In hopes to regain a more welcome status, Hephaestus threw himself into studying fire magic and smithing. Hours were spent in the deepest quarters of the lair (as to not scatter loose embers that may set stray plants ablaze) as the dragon steadily improved his craft, which surprisingly came quite naturally. Hephaestus had gathered enough courage as to encourage his fellow clanmates to take some of his creations on their ventures, whether it be his latest sword or axe. This improved the clan's quality of life drastically, and they encouraged him to continue improving his strength with a visit to the Ashfall Waste, alongside Taraiki and Ashwaker.
They enjoyed their time there, taking in the sights and sometimes unbearable smells of the local towns and forgeries. It was then and there that the obelisk had discovered himself, not as the useless acquisition a ragtag assembly of mostly nature dragons, but a strong, wise and independent beast of flame and stone, with a passion for improving the lives of other dragons.
