Biography
"We join you, on command of the Earthshaker, the one who breathed new life into us. We shall be watching, and waiting, for the day he calls for his children to return to him."
A deliberate and somewhat unnerving dragon, Xena is a fighter born despite her relatively regal and quiet appearance. In comparison to her mate, Ares, it could be said that Xena is downright demure, however a quick slap of a heavy-handed paw has proved to many a foolish male that she is much more than meets the eye. With her mate, Ares, the two arrived in the fashion of envoys from the newly born Obelisk species, with the dire warning that they believe a war to be brewing, and that every clan must prepare for it and with haste and purpose.
Unlike previous envoys before them, Xena swears her loyalty to the Earthshaker and the Earthshaker alone, though many believe this is because she was one of the first of her kindred to be awoken during the great dig. However, her willingness for bloodshed has raised questions on if she actually was woken during the excavation, and not somewhere deeper, or more dangerous than what was once found. Neither Xena nor Ares are forthcoming with such information, and as such have made themselves known on the forward patrols of the Frozen Stone clan in battle.
Like her mate, Xena speaks very little, and shows even less in terms of maternal instincts. She tends only to her own nest, and shows little patience for other hatchlings, and even for the clan's code. Unlike Ares, however, Xena does not pick needless fights, and instead allows for her calm and odd disquiet to turn other dragons away, and she has yet to be bothered over her duties outside of combat and patrol. It is a curious situation that has led to some to wonder if Xena and Ares are true mates, or if they were paired together by the clan that sent them into the Frozen Stone territory.
Xena is a methodical fighter, and uses her wits much more than her zeal as her kind is usually known to. She is shockingly tactical in her movements and strikes, and has proven herself invaluable many times over to the forward progress of the clan's defenses. She is also a very capable hunter, and has many times fed the clan's carnivores almost with a single claw. Despite all words to the contrary, it does seem that Xena takes her duty as an envoy seriously enough to watch over the clan's health, though it can be questioned that if she sees weakness, she may be willing to punish it before she forgives it.
