Biography

Dhriti sat near the cliffs that over looked the Everbloom Gardens for miles, the wind sweeping through her darkened long mane. She was used to patrolling close to the area to protect those in the hibernal den but today she politely asked for an extension in her grounds. Everyone had recently heard of the excavation happening in the Earth domain and was filled with excitement in sending the tools and equipment to their campsite, but for Dhriti it felt different. She was excited yes but felt a strange presence fill the ground up through her body. Something had been awakened. She had felt the feeling once, when she revealed her true form to Naomi as a Gaoler, awakened in the Earth Domain. Dhriti couldn't resist going to the Shattered Plain, the energy in her eyes flowed throughout her body calling for her to come.

Knowing she would have to explain herself to Nadia later for abandoning her post, she knew that she had to leave the Nature Domain to find the origin of the strange magic flowing through her.
. . .

She traveled through the Colonnades of Antiquity, a bustling little city that has seen a peak in its activity with the Dustcarve dig happening. She remembered coming there often when she was pretending to be a Coatl to hide herself as she journeyed far from the Southern Icefield. But that was in the past, now she only had one mission. Other dragons were amazed to see a Gaoler this far north and in the desert and as such called out to Dhriti though she gave only a simple nod and carried onward. Suddenly she heard a commotion coming from near the expedition site. A loud roar echoed through the crowd as dragons took to the sky, ones no dragon had yet seen before. Dhriti began to charge toward the noise but skidded to a stop when she felt the energy she felt before nearby her. She turned toward a cliff that overlooked the sea that lead to the Nature Domain, As she made it to the top, she saw a dragon of a breed she had never seen before.

He was slightly larger than she was with a large mane and tail curly just like hers. He hadn't noticed her yet and continued shaking out his mane, picking off bits of rubble stuck in his fur. He seemed to be adjusting to the shimmering sunlight as if he hadn't seen it in a long time. Dhriti hadn't been paying attention to her footing as she approached, something besides herself, and made a click as two stones rattled the hard ground. The dragon looked back at her with frightened eyes and took a step back toward the cliff edge.

"Wait!" Dhriti spoke demandingly. Her arm reached out toward him. He stared back at her with confusion like a child of a gaoler without an order to define themselves. He stilled as she asked questioningly, "are you and them the cause of this. . .this strange energy I sense, that quakes through the ground throughout Soreinth?" The dragon calmed further and smiled lightly as if almost embarrassed, "Yeah. . . did we make too loud of a roar?" Dhriti could tell he had a gentle heart and relaxed her tough physique. "Loud is an understatement, we felt it through the oceans, the plains, even our tallest trees!"

He stared at her with excitement at the last word and blurted the question out, quieting down as he spoke to try to contain his excitement," You've seen trees, real trees, massive trees, . . . with the green leaves and vines that bear flowers. I haven't seen a single one since. . . well ever." Dhriti smiled softly, he was truly a gently soul with a proud and strong spirit. "Yes, in the clan I reside, there are many trees, lakes, and dragons of many breeds who live there."

"A real clan, that's amazing and you said there was trees and rivers?" "More than you'll ever see anywhere else in the Soreinth." She was smiling, something she hardly showed much less to anyone that wasn't an Earth dragon and upon realizing how much she was getting carried away by chatting up this new dragon, she had to remember why she came. "I know this will sound strange, but I felt like I have been drawn here, to . . . to meet you, even now I can feel this vibration in me still like a beacon to you. I don't know why, or Earthshaker help me understand, but I somehow feel we were supposed to meet."

"I can't say that I know what you mean Miss, but I know that me and my siblings have a job to do." "A job? Like a mission?" "To protect!" He replied more sternly than how he was normally acting a second ago. Dhriti glanced down with mixed emotions and stated open-heartedly," I know what you mean. I too was set on a task, help wherever I can too, stopping monstrosities like the Shade-touched. . . and to be honest I thought that is what I was sent here to do. But yet, here I am looking at you and well . . . you aren't some monsters nor are even shade-touched, you're just. . ." she paused for quite a while as she looked into his pastel eyes that reflected her own, realizing that in fact she truly understood the confusion, excitement, and wonder that filled him in the current moment. I was once like you believe it or not. I had been hidden underground my whole life and heard of places I only dared dream to go. Those words filled Dhriti as she stepped closer until she was next to him overlooking the cliff over the oceans. "Looking for a place to call home in a brand-new world" She finished her statement as the dragon full of sweet innocence smiled back and nodded, "That would be quite nice!"

"Come with me, I promise it won't disappoint. I bet all the dragons in SolarCell can't wait to see who's been stirring up all this fuss." The dragon looked like he would burst with joy but calmed himself down enough to shake her wing to seal the deal. "We best be off then, less we want to get caught out here when the stars come out." "Stars!"

About an hour or two had gone by since they had departed together, but the hours passed, filled to the brim with questions and awe at every little critter and plant they had been laid upon new eyes. "Thank you, Dhriti, for taking me all the way, but do you really think your leader will let me stay here, like accept me and all?" As Dhriti opened her mouth to speak, a tiny firefly landed on her traveler's nose. "I think you'll be just fine, besides; I have more pressing issues to take up with my Warden!" Just as her last word escaped her mouth the two dragons felt a chilling mist swirl them. "You have no idea!" said a Gaoler with a coat so white it glistened like fresh snow next to her companion dragon's lantern. The lantern glowed a daunting green like the shade in her eyes. "Busted. . . "he chuckled nervously. "Yeah, we have got some explaining to do." Dhriti murmured under her breath. The Warden glared at her intensely. Dhriti cleared her throat and spoke up, "It all started in the Earth Domain when the mountain began to shook . . . ".
Petoskey nowadays is a Peace Lily and part of the guild helping out with natural disasters. Often as a non-Plague and non-Nature, Petoskey acts as a mediator between affairs. As having pastel eyes means Petoskey has unique powers. Being the only water dragon in the guild is quite a lot of pressure however, Petoskey excels at putting out fires and water rescues. Petoskey is able to create storms with his powers, usually his favorite being heavy rain storms that he can use to douse fires. To put out fires he often has it rain heavy overhead while misting the ground level. Then he crushes burning logs with his huge body to help put of fires faster. Due to his weather abilities, he often consults Emerald who dapples as a meteorologist as well as being his boss. She often helps him by telling him water kind of weather will be coming, what weather should be like during parts of the year, and will ask him if he wants to get creative. His weather manipulation extends purely to water weather though like rain, heavy winds, thunderstorms, mist, and fog. He can also control these natural occurring phenomenon too. Notably, Petoskey uses up less of this energy in humid environments and often struggles when it gets too dry.

Often Petoskey hangs out with his Obelisk friends as the sing loud songs that can be heard across the clan. Petoskey often reserves his energy alongside his friends as he finds it safer and comforting. It's also fun to spook dragons as a team of statues amongst the statues in gardens or in Komodo's shop. Komodo usually considers them his number one customers as recently the Obelisks loved nothing more than to build the Stonehedge Maze. Its a favorite for Obelisks and Tricksters as there are plenty of hiding spots, its quite beautiful as it is well maintained by the gardeners including recent Nightlock and is full of many different stone statues from emerald to wooden to Lapis. Often many statues look like Obelisks or similar creatures though there is plenty of variety in the size, shape, and design to the statues.
