Petra

Petra was brought to life from stone and steel. Animated by the will of greater dragons, Petra was rusted in strange places, and did not move well. As such, they were left behind when their fellow obelisks went to perform their duties. Petra did not necessarily mind this; they did not know to, as they were only hours old. Instead, they hid under a rock, and they determined that, since they were animated from metal, they too must be a rock. That's how... that works, right?

Petra was soon found by Fen on one of her scouting missions. Fen, who had heard tales of obelisk dragons but had not ever seen one, saw the strange metal creature and assumed it was a statue of a dragon, rather than an actual dragon. Fen thought the statue was cool, even. So, Fen brought Petra home - though it took a LOT of effort for the tiny fey dragon to move the several-ton obelisk, Fen had inventions for exactly that purpose. Petra could have, perhaps, stopped this. After all, Petra was a dragon, not, in fact, a statue. But Petra was still convinced they were a rock, or, perhaps, if Fen said so, a statue. They behaved as one the entire trip back.

Mousey was mildly horrified and amazed to discover that not only had Fen dragged another interesting dragon back, but that neither Fen nor the dragon seemed to be aware of that fact.

Mousey integrated Petra into the clan, and scolded Fen for about the fifth time to not collect things that were alive, and that in this world things are often alive that don't look to be, Fen. Alongside Thorn (their other foundling child), they began to teach Petra the ways of the world... and that no, Petra, you are not a rock, you are a dragon.

It's slow-going sometimes. Petra grew too fast for a dragon, and doesn't quite understand their role in the world. In addition, they're fairly certain they are not an ordinary obelisk. They think that, perhaps, Fen's initial assumption of "statue" is... less far off than it would have otherwise been, really. But that's fine. They are a protective statue, after all.

And this clan, perhaps, could use some protection.
