Nerys

"Here! Here!" Feathertail cried happily when he approached the Highland Scrub, a jutting rock face marking where the Fae was leading Alena. The storm wasn't getting any better, and the Spiral wanted to keep inside the Source until it passed. But Feathertail clamored into her den, screeching about a new arrival-they wouldn't leave her alone until they lead her there.
The Fae almost crashed into the sandy ground while the Spiral slowly spun into a circle as she approached the ground. Alena's clawtips, a brighter blue than her runes, started to pulsate in their color-Feathertail was right, there was an excess of magic where the Fae was leading her.
Speaking of leading, Feathertail lead the two underneath the jutting rock to what seemed to be a Sphinx statue drabbed in apparel and painted in bright colors-yellows and blues, with almost uncannily brightly colored eyes... Wait, if it was a Sphinx statue, then why was it clothed? Feathertail hopped over to it, waving a claw in front of it. "'Ello! 'Ello! Please come out, friend is here!"
And then, the statue came to life-that's what Alena thought. A bright yellow head with a mane of blue shook their head before leaning down to the Fae, a huff escaping their muzzle. The supposed 'statue's voice was husky, and serious, "Fae, I thought I told you to leave me alone?"
"This...isn't a statue, Feather'." Alena's voice was nervous, and after she spoke was when the dragon turned to look at her. Raising their head, the dragon spoke again. "Oh, you brought someone else."
Alena was frozen in place as the dragon started to move, wings flaring out and the dragon shaking out their mane. They...they were tall. Very tall. "Okay, okay. Um...do you have a name, at least?"
The dragon thought for a moment, tilting her head. "Nerys."
"Okay, Nerys-" Thunder cracked overhead, which made the poor Spiral almost jump out of her skin. "N..Nerys. It's about to storm, and lightning in the Shifting Expanse isn't a joke. Me and Feathertail have a...a den in the Source just south-east of here, if you w..wouldn't mind following us."
Alena had already started coiling her tail up from nervousness, but Nerys gave a light sigh. "I wouldn't mind staying somewhere, so yes, I will follow you."
