when the obelisks awoke, many were given names such as "hope" or "life" or "courage," but not him. for some reason, the earthshaker named him "thomas," a name seemingly without origin. does this mean something? is it a joke? the earthshaker's intentions lay beyond our mortal comprehension.
strangely, when thomas awoke he was much more disoriented than the other obelisks. he seemed to expect something different. the dragons at the scene heard him muttering things like "cuppa joe?" and "i still need to file those reports." he won't elaborate when asked about it.
morally questionable science dad... 3!
