At the end of a late summer's afternoon, Iudicium's dinnertime ritual was interrupted by the arrival of a young obelisk with fur of crimson and eyes that burned like the setting sun. He was slender for his kind, fur muddied with dust and sand from whatever journey brought him to the Radiant Cove, but asked for nothing but a place to rest his head for the night. Used to wayward travelers, Pan set him up with a humble den for the evening.

Over the coming days, Flux grew comfortable at the radiant cove - a luster returned to his fur after bathing in the warm ocean and the hollows in his cheeks filled in after a few good meals. Iudicium's usual residents grew curious about Flux, who thus far had spoken no more than a few gentle words when directly asked; it was Quiera who eventually managed to get through to him.

He had been one of the Earthshaker's first Obelisks, uncovered during the fateful dig which released his kind onto the surface of Sornieth, but unlike the others, he had awoken late and alone. Intimidated by the zeal with which he was greeted by others of his own kind, Flux fled across the shattered plain and into the tangled wood, finding himself lost and afraid until he came upon the sunportal. Unsure of what else to do and afraid of what lay in the dark, he plunged into the light and wandered for a time until he finally stumbled upon the Radiant Cove.

Touched by the young dragon's story, Quiera invited him to stay as long as he liked; knowing he'd found somewhere comfortable for the first time, Flux pledged to stay. Inspired by his own stonebound form of orthoclase ribboned with inclusions of moonstone and ruby, Flux took a liking to crafting beautiful coloured glass artwork. His work allowed for the construction of the inscribed atrium, which he capped off with a sparkling dome of rainbow glass.
