Biography
An unfriendly dragon, Arrowgrass's claws and teeth are imbued with the same deadly venom as her namesake plant. No one's sure why; perhaps due to the Earthshaker's rush to create them, significant anomalies have popped up between the Obelisks.
Arrowgrass made few friends, when the Obelisks came to life. Being thrown into the world fully-grown and surrounded by prying eyes and claws, she lashed out, and caused the death of two volunteers on-site. In the panic, Velya ordered Arrowgrass to be chained.
Cenote and Cascade, young aspiring archaeologists, pushed their way through the mayhem, and offered to take Arrowgrass to a side passage away from the crowd. Cenote, the guardian explained, had experience with the feeling of being born into danger, and panic, resentment and confusion. His small face scrunched up in bitterness even as he spoke, explaining how he--a Guardian--had been hatched underwater and nearly drowned, due to malfunctioning gills and the Tidelord's absent protective magic.
Cenote and Cascade led Arrowgrass, still in the chains that had been brought down as mining equipment, to a smaller cave that held a pool of calm water, where they chatted with her as she calmed down and got her bearings.
Gargoyle was assigned to work with Cascade, Cenote, and Arrowgrass, since he was deemed not to be at risk to Arrow's venomous claws. He became fast friends with her, as she was relieved to not have to worry about accidentally scratching him every time they moved, and his jokes got under the harsh face she presented to the world. Soon, their combined laughter was echoing through the ancient caverns.
