asdfIanthe was the queen of the largest clan of Obelisks waiting underground for the Earthshaker's summons. Her kingdom was vast and remained always peaceful under her calm and steady rule. She did take a few of the grander things in her life for granted, but overall she never really let her ego become inflated, knowing that that could allow her kingdom to fall to ruin. She is a calm and reasonable dragon, and while she tries to always seem professional and regal around others, she is secretly a very kind and funny dragon inside. She had a few trusted maids with which she shared this secret side of herself, before whatever happened to her kingdom happened. Sometimes, a raised eyebrow to or from the one maid that attended her meetings almost resulted in her collapsing into a heap of laughter in the middle of important things, but other than that, she stayed pretty under control, even when her advisors said ridiculous things. asdfHer demeanor in her new clan is similar to her past self, although she seems more relaxed. One upside of not having all of those responsibilities is not having to be all-business all the time, but her past still holds much meaning and sentimental value to her. They say the eyes are the window to the soul, and Ianthe's show a past of many a mixed emotion. |

asdfQueen Ianthe woke up as per usual. Five o'clock in the morning, on the dot. She waited for the maids to come help her prepare for the day, but they never came. Fifteen minutes passed, then thirty. Time flew by yet stood unbearably still. After what felt like five minutes and five days, she went out to investigate, wearing just her nightgown. asdfAs she stepped out of her chambers, she discovered the palace to be empty. A bland, barren hallway, stretching on for exactly as long as she remembered - about twenty or so meters. Not a soul, sapient or not, was in sight or earshot of the newly-distressed royalty. She went to investigate the maids' quarters - or whatever remained of them, - which happened to be close by. She came to find the room as intact as it was a few days ago, but completely abandoned. The only living beings in the abandoned living quarters were spiders, nesting relatively peacefully in the upper corners of the walls. Thankfully, her outfit was intact, albeit with a few moth bites on the edges of her dress. She put them on to the best of her lonesome ability. The queen was starting to miss them, despite having previously taken them for granted. After fixing up her pendant and carefully moving her crown to the proper spot on her head, Ianthe decided to try and investigate the scene, and left the room. asdfShe poked her head into different rooms finding little but dust, cobwebs, and moth bitten clothes and furniture. She searched for quite a while, and upon finding no one else, decided to go try to make herself some breakfast, if there was anything left in the kitchen. But right as she decided to check, she found herself summoned to see the Earthshaker, and found herself in a large cavern with what must have been a large cavern full of what must have been every obelisk in existence. The Earthshaker explained that he would transform them into statues and send them to the upper world, then did so, leaving Ianthe no time to worry about her old kingdom. She is part of a clan now, instead of a kingdom, and lives a busy life there to try to forget the mystery of what happened to everyone she used to know. She still wonders sometimes, but tries not to, as it makes her unbearably unhappy for hours at a time if she lets herself wallow in her loss. |
