Xiaoping serves as the magister of Sunbeam's clan. As an Imperial born and blessed by Lightweaver, some of the dragons expected him to be arrogant and full of himself, which is why his kind, patient, and gentle demeanor catches most off guard. Many clanmates have stated that his presence is "calming and warm," like basking in the sun's rays.

Xiaoping is one of a few dragons in the clan who worships his current Flight's deity as well as his birth flight's; the other dragons who do so include Akira and Taraq. Xiaoping came to the clan as a hatchling along with Borealis, with whom he is quite close. Akira came shortly after, and the two instantly became close as they both connected as Light-born Imperials. Eventually, the two became mates and are sometimes seen being "disgustingly cute," according to some dragons.

(Taraq's notes) Look me in the eye and tell me that is not what they are. I have heard that I am like that with Moonbeam, and I truly love that Skydancer, but we are NOT disgustingly cute! We're more like...mildly wholesome...right? RIGHT?
