Galene

Galene: meaning "calm" or "one who is relaxing and quiet".
Nicknames: Whisper/Gal/"StopBeingSoQuietOmgYouScaredTheLifeOutOfMe"

While Galene is certainly a quiet dragon most of the time, often scaring unaware clanmates with her sudden appearances, she is definitely not a calm or relaxed individual. She's weary, jumpy and skittish at first. Older than most in the Clan, this girl has met both the good and the bad side of dragons in her travels.

Finally, she has settled in our Clan. It was quite the scuffle at first, and she'll have to work a lot to overcome old fears and habits, but she's starting to learn that not everyone is out to get her.

Galene is a strange dragon. She hates sunlight and harsh sounds, and speaks in a hushed murmur that is hard to hear even if everything's quiet; let alone in the usual cacophony that surrounds us. Sometimes she even seems to disappear from view, blending into the shadows. Maybe it's just her dark hide and I'm hallucinating, or maybe she's hiding something from us... I won't pry, of course, but I want her to know she's safe here for as long as she wants to stay. It seems she hasn't had much peace in her lifetime, what with her quiet demeanor.

The hatchlings have started to call her Whisper, and have taken a liking to her. I can oftentimes see Cassie and Callie follow her around. She doesn't seem to mind... but she doesn't seem to love it either. Something tells me she hasn't had much time around babies, she's so awkward sometimes... at least she can keep those two out of trouble and entertained with stories of her travel through Sornieth.

I find that I want to learn more about this dragon, and make her feel safe, to see her open up. She's obviously been through a lot, and needs a place to heal, much like I did when I escaped my Clan... I hope we can provide what she needs for as long as she needs, and if she wants to stay, we'll be glad to have her.
