-Lyre is the daughter of the king of a fallen kingdom.
-She was born in the midst of a rebellion.
-During the rebellion, her mother managed to secret her away.
-Her mother was caught, but not before she had found Lyre a place among a merchant's caravan.
-Lyre's childhood was spent as a member of the merchants caravan
-At one of their stops a traveling priest recognized 'the gift' in her
-The gift was an affinity towards divine communication.
-She was taken away with the priest for training at the temple to further develop her gift.
-She is the currently the high priestess of said temple.
