Nothing much can grow in the Shifting Expanse, aside from low bushes in the Highlands Scrub. Silow studies the local flora and cultivates imported plantlife however he can, especially mushrooms, which thrive in the dark underground nooks of the excavated lair. Aside from his pursuit of knowledge, which led to an impressive collection of herbariums, Silow's main goal is to provide vegetation for the herbivorous members of the lair to fall back on, in case of extreme weather conditions and other unforeseen circumstances.

The Coatl's druidic training also covers a modicum of healing knowledge, which he uses to assist both the Clan Priestess and the local Physician as an improvised nurse. The patients, soothed by his calming presence, occasionally respond better to their prescribed treatment when administered by him.
