During Dustcarve Dig in June 2021, Alabaster had noted that Velya was asking for a lot of materials as the expedition took place. After having written down so many requests from the other dragons that resided in Elysian, Alabaster felt overwhelmed as they showed the listed records to Adorinda, noting that the dragons had a lot of materials to gather at Velya's behest. Adorinda knew this meant that some of the plans to celebrate for the upcoming Brightshine Jubilee 2021 had to be changed to accommodate to these recent events and list. She asked Winfreda for a card reading on if they should proceed with these upcoming plans and help contribute to the expedition as some of the dragons in Hephormet (The Clan) were not accustomed to this change of pace in Elysian (The Lair) prior to the early resting period of late winter/early spring 2021. It felt as if there was a sense of direction but that the focus was all over the place.

Winfreda drew the '6 of Cups'. From what she could decipher the response was a 'Yes' but that 'The upcoming days will be emotionally taxing on some of the dragons in Hephormet'. "Go with the flow but be wary and direct it too." Alabaster agreed with this and took charge, having decided that it was their time to endure some of Hephormet's training against the BeastClans and also help in collecting some of the materials needed for the expedition.

As a Milestone had been reached during the dig, multiple unhatched eggs had been found within the cavern that it appeared that the Dragonhome Preservation Guild had uncovered a nest full of leftover unhatched eggs of every element barring Bogsneak and Nocturne. Some dragons had hatched out of their eggs that it reminded Alabaster of the day when Banescales were reintegrated to dragon society in 2019 (with a multitude having hatched from a nest of Banescale Eggs and Galore gifting some out). Out of one of those eggs hatched Bahjat. Bahjat was startled and roared a low roar at Alabaster, ready to defend herself if need be. It was such a different experience compared to Bryath's curiosity in his early days. Bahjat retreated into the cavern the dig was taking place but Alabaster would find her as his runes would illuminate the cavern and reflect her gembond. Tetra would help Alabaster to find her as she had guided him through walls and tell them to stop when she sensed that some areas would collapse. "It is not safe for that hatchling to enter here. Regardless of if she has gembond she needs a home." Alabaster felt this meant providing her a home in Elysian. They hoped Erskine would take to the news lightly after Diya and Demitrius' recruitment.

Bahjat would be found close to the cavern's entrance, examining some of the equipment the Armik had left over before the descent downward. Tetra was eager to have found the hatchling in safe condition regardless of Bahjat having eaten the food in their bags. Alabaster would go to her but Bahjat felt alarmed by them and ran, almost jumping to through a hole if not for Tetra blocking her way. Tetra would hold her in her mouth, making sure she would not escape as they exited the cavern. Once at the exit, Tetra released Bahjat who continued to run but Alabaster had been swift in catching up to her and caught her within a moment's notice. Looking at her, Alabaster could not help but reminisce about Bryath when they were a hatchling and their curious nature even if Bahjat would try to escape from their grasp. Alabaster took her back to Elysian where Erskine had accepted her recruitment.
