Dolly

Where did Dolly come from?

Nobody's quite sure. She just... Appeared, one day, on the Lightning Farm. Reports of this strange patchwork dragon span between the farm, to the Gladebough Village, to at last the Southern Icefield. When observed, all she appears to do is totter about, moving aimlessly or playing around - or perhaps not moving at all. She can often be seen carrying a plushie in her mouth.

Dolly is mostly nonverbal, oftentimes communicating with chirps and huffs and purrs. When she does speak, it's in single disjointed words, the most common one being "Friend." Whether or not she can speak in full sentences is unknown.

Every large dragon in this lair has experienced going about their day as usual and having Dolly drape herself over them. Always when they're alone, always from behind; always away from their eyes. Were they in the middle of doing something? Not anymore! It's floor time. As for the middle-sized and smaller dragons, they'll find themselves gathered up in her front paws and nestled under her mane. She will simply remain there, prone and purring, until she gets back up and wanders back off, once again when they're not looking. Everyone can agree that she is abnormally soft and warm.

Does she need to eat or drink? No one has seen her do it, but her portion of the hoard's supplies certainly likes to vanish into thin air.

How about sleep? Her clanmates are more sure about that one, it's just... It's always with her vacant eyes open... (Come to think of it, does she ever even blink...?)

Her nest within the sleeping quarters is littered with bobby pins, cotton, and dolls in various states of completion. One can sometimes find her bundled and swathed in all sorts of plush fabrics, stitching up her latest creation with mechanical motions. It's no surprise to the others when a brand new plushie suddenly appears next to their own nest. At least they're cute!

Hatchlings seem to delight her. She'll gather them up and drop her latest plushie right on their heads, snuggling them until they wriggle out or another dragon frees the poor thing.
