Naledi

Some dragons dream of making history. Naledi never had to dream; in a very real way, history made her.

Her egg was discovered by the Dustcarve Dig, abandoned far underground by forces unknown. Precious few thought she would hatch at all; even if she did, the neglect her egg had suffered boded ill for her future. Imagine the clan's surprise, then, when their dimly-glowing discovery shattered to reveal a perfect little mirror. Naledi was small- far smaller than any other mirror hatchling the clan had ever seen- but she was whole and hale and full of vibrant life. Clan patriarch Redsky took charge of the tiny terror while the rest of the clan dug yet deeper.

They struck unlikely paydirt in the form of dragons. Hundreds, maybe thousands of Obelisks came to impossible life all around them. In the chaos that followed two of the newly-awakened Obelisks threw their lot in with Raven Ridge. Xiaofei and Rixiang, as the pair called themselves, were sisters- and some power far beyond their ken drew them to the clan's youngest member.

Under the twins' watchful gaze Naledi has grown into a force to be reckoned with. Her apparently inexhaustible energy is rivaled only by her endless thirst for knowledge. Her life is one of excavation, cataloguing, cross-referencing, and researching, aided and abetted by her doting guardians. They do the heavy lifting she's physically incapable of, leaving Naledi to wriggle into tight corners the Obelisks' size makes impassable. Someday she hopes to make her own mark on history- and until then, well, she'll just have to keep digging.
