Stowaway Stan is a Spiral who assumes the persona of romanticized pirate and is wanted within the Sea of a Thousand Currents for numerous counts of Piracy and Assault.
Nobody knows who he was before becoming a pirate, why they became a pirate, or even where they're actually from. All that's known about them is that he is (or perhaps was) the captain and sole crew member of an unnamed gunboat and has prior history with Williams.
To call Stowaway Stan an eccentric dragon would be a serious understatement. They are very calm, shockingly friendly, and they rarely take things seriously despite the nature of the pirate's life.
Unlike most pirates who usually send an Imperial or a large number of Faes to attack ships from above, Stowaway Stan (usually) attacks ships by hiding in Flotsam and boarding ships who investigate the wreckage. This is due to Stowaway Stan having a rare defect which renders them unable to fly.
There are rumors that he actually originated from a world far removed from Sornieth that's said to have mighty warships sailing with crews no greater than 4 and a rampant problem with Undead hordes.
